Mars

In astrology Mars symbolizes action, drive, assertiveness and how anger gets expressed — how a person pursues goals and defends their boundaries.

It rules Aries (and traditionally also Scorpio), and is exalted in Capricorn. Its placement describes a person's fighting style, motivation and sexual drive, and its periodic, long retrograde is often felt as a slowdown in taking action.
