Free Kundli online: your Janam Kundali in a minute

Date, time and place of birth — and you see your Lagna, Moon sign and nakshatra, the dasha period you are in now, your Sade Sati dates and a Manglik check. Calculated in the sidereal zodiac (Lahiri), no account needed.

Your birth data

Day, month, year — e.g. 07/03/1987.

The time is needed for the Lagna. If you do not know it, choose “I do not know the time”: the Kundli uses 12:00 and leaves the Lagna out.

Start typing and choose the place from the suggestions.

Nothing you enter is saved in our database. The data stays only in this browser session, for up to two hours, so it can be carried into an account if you create one — and you can delete it at any time.

What is a Kundli?

A Kundli (Janam Kundali) is the Vedic birth chart: the sky at the moment of birth in the sidereal zodiac, read from the Lagna (rising sign) and the Moon. Jyotish pays special attention to the Moon’s nakshatra, which also sets the Vimshottari dasha periods of a life.

AstroSensus calculates it from astronomical planet positions with the Lahiri ayanamsa and whole-sign houses. The free Kundli shows the main facts; an account adds the full Vedic reading, the Navamsa, yogas and forecasts in the same system.

What you will see

  • Lagna and Moon sign

Your rising sign and your Rashi in the sidereal zodiac, each with a short explanation.

  • Nakshatra and pada

The Moon’s lunar mansion, its quarter and its ruling graha.

  • Vimshottari dasha

The mahadasha and antardasha you are in now, with their dates.

  • Sade Sati and Manglik

Whether Sade Sati is running and when, and where Mars stands from the Lagna and the Moon.

Questions

Is the Kundli really free?

Yes. It needs no account, no e-mail address and no payment details. An account is only needed to save the chart and get the full Vedic reading.

Which ayanamsa and houses are used?

The sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa and whole-sign houses counted from the Lagna, as in most North and South Indian practice.

What if I do not know my time of birth?

Choose “I do not know the time”. The Lagna is then left out and Manglik is counted from the Moon only. The Moon moves about 13° a day, so the page tells you if its sign or nakshatra may differ on your birth day.

How is the dasha calculated?

With the Vimshottari system: the Moon’s nakshatra at birth sets the first period and its remaining balance; the mahadashas then follow in the classical order of 120 years, each divided into antardashas.

Is my birth data stored?

Not in our database. It stays in your browser session for up to two hours and is deleted when you press “Forget my data”. Only if you create an account does it become the first person in that account.
