Vertex

The Vertex is a lesser-known, supplementary chart point, often associated with encounters and events that feel "fated" or unusually memorable.

In practice it's mostly used in synastry — someone else's planet contacting your Vertex is often read as a sign of an especially intense, "fated"-feeling connection. It's a secondary point, used less often than the ascendant or MC.
