Yoga (planetary combination)

A yoga, in Vedic astrology, is a specific planetary configuration (in particular houses, or in particular relationships to each other) considered to produce a defined, often powerful effect in a person's life.

This is a different sense of "yoga" than the physical or spiritual practice — Jyotish names hundreds of yogas, from ones marking exceptional fortune (Raja Yoga, linked to power and success) to ones warning of difficulty.
