South Node

The South Node is a chart point symbolically linked to a comfort zone — traits and patterns that come naturally, but are easy to over-rely on.

Astrologers sometimes describe it as "baggage" a person already knows well (some link this to the idea of past lives) — its sign and house show where a person feels safe, and where clinging to that safety too much can hold back the growth described by the North Node.
