Solar arc

Solar arc is a forecasting technique where every planet in a chart is advanced by the same amount that the progressed Sun has moved (on average, about 1 degree per year of life).

It's a simplified but very practical alternative to secondary progressions — easier to calculate, while still working well for pinpointing the timing of major life events, especially when combined with transits.
