Retrograde station

A retrograde station is the moment a planet stops and begins its apparent backward motion (retrograde) through the zodiac.

Astrologers often treat this exact moment as especially noticeable — even more so than the retrograde period itself, since this is when that planet's themes seem to hang in place and demand attention.
