Forecasting
Progression
Also known as: secondary progressions
Progression is a forecasting technique that symbolically moves a chart's post-birth planetary positions forward in time, typically at a rate of "one day after birth equals one year of life" (secondary progressions).
Unlike transits, which describe the real, current movement of the planets, progressions show a person's inner development and maturing — which is why particular weight is given to the progressed Moon, which changes sign roughly every two and a half years.
