Personal year

A personal year is a number (1 through 9) describing the overall "climate" of a given calendar year in a specific person's life, calculated from their birth day and month plus the current year.

Numerologists treat the nine personal years as a repeating cycle — a personal year 1 is linked to new beginnings, for instance, and a personal year 9 to closing out a chapter before the next nine-year cycle begins.
