Mulank

Mulank is the reduced birth day-of-month (a number from 1 to 9) in Vedic Numerology, treated as the root number and the system's most important indicator.

Each Mulank is traditionally linked to a ruling graha (planet): 1-Sun, 2-Moon, 3-Jupiter, 4-Rahu, 5-Mercury, 6-Venus, 7-Ketu, 8-Saturn, 9-Mars — it is this graha that sets the tone for that Mulank's interpretation.
