A full moon is the phase where the Sun and Moon are in opposition — the Moon's disc appears fully lit as seen from Earth.

Astrologically it's linked to culmination, the full unfolding of what was planted at the new moon, and to emotional release — often the most keenly "felt" phase of the lunar cycle.
