Domicile

Domicile is the zodiac sign a given planet rules and where it operates most freely — Mars is in domicile in Aries, for instance, and Venus in Taurus.

It's the strongest of the planetary dignities: a planet "at home" expresses its qualities in the most natural way, without needing to compromise with the character of the sign it sits in.
