Conjunction

A conjunction is an astrological aspect where two planets sit at nearly the same degree of the zodiac, so their energies blend and intensify each other.

In a birth chart, it marks a point of concentrated focus where both planets' qualities act as one instead of balancing each other out. Whether a conjunction feels harmonious or difficult depends on the nature of the planets involved — a Sun-Venus conjunction, for instance, reads very differently from a Mars-Saturn one.
