Applying aspect

An applying aspect is one still moving toward its exact, full angle — the faster planet is still "catching up" to the slower one.

It's considered stronger in feel than a separating aspect (one that has already passed its exact angle and is "pulling away") — something still arriving tends to feel more intense than something that has already happened and is starting to fade. The moment the exact angle is reached is called an exact aspect.
