Birthday Journey: your birthday-year chart in another city

Your solar birthday is the moment the Sun returns exactly to the place it held on the day you were born. The tradition of the relocated solar return says that where you are at that moment sets the angles and houses of the chart for the whole birthday year. The new Birthday Journey section shows how that same moment falls in different cities.

How it works

• The exact moment — calculated from the date, time and place of birth, for the coming birthday and the one after. Each city shows the local time of that moment.
• Home city and comparison — next to your home city you add up to nine cities from the catalogue. The planets, signs and aspects are the same everywhere at that moment; what changes is the Ascendant, the MC and the houses the planets fall in.
• With a goal in mind — optionally pick one of nine goals (career, love, a new start and more). The cities are ordered by an open table of houses and planets shown on the page.
• The reading — on request, a text about the compared cities, based only on the calculated charts. It uses 1 travel and places reading from the monthly limit; the same comparison then reopens at no cost. There is a “Plain” version too.
• A reminder — about a month before the birthday of a person on your account, the Today page offers a card inviting you to compare cities. One click puts it away until the next birthday.

Who it is for

On the Premium plan. An exact birth time and an exact birthplace are needed — a minute’s difference moves the chart’s angles. Western astrology for now. This is a symbolic tradition: a description of the year’s emphases, not a promise or advice on where to go.
