Referral Programme Rules
Who can refer, when a referral counts, the extra limits you can get as a reward, and the rules against abuse.
1. Organiser and scope
- The referral programme (the "Programme") is run by the operator of AstroSensus named in the Legal Notice.
- The Programme is voluntary and free. Taking part requires no fee and no purchase beyond the plan the Participant already pays for. It has one level only: a reward is given only for people referred directly.
- Anything these rules do not cover is governed by the Terms of Service, the Subscriptions, Cancellation & Refunds terms and the Privacy Policy.
2. Who can refer
- An adult user who pays for their own subscription to the Start, Plus, Family or Premium plan, without a break for at least 14 days, can refer (the "Participant"). A trial and a plan received through an invitation do not count.
- The following cannot refer: household members using another person's plan, accounts on the Pro plan (a separate partner programme is planned for them), test accounts and staff accounts (their link works but earns no rewards).
- When a Participant stops meeting the conditions of point 1 (for example, their subscription ends), their link stops working for new people — their invitation can no longer be accepted. Invitations accepted earlier remain valid (section 4, point 3), and referrals of people who have already created an account are settled under sections 5 and 6.
3. Referral link and code
- In Account → "Refer friends" the Participant receives a personal link and an 8-character code. The Participant can create a new link at any time; the previous one keeps working for 30 more days.
- The Participant shares the link themselves (for example in messaging apps, on social media or in an e-mail they send). AstroSensus does not send invitations on the Participant's behalf and does not collect their contacts.
- Disclosure. If the Participant publishes the link or code publicly (for example on social media, a website, a blog, in a film or on a forum) or in promotional content, they state clearly and visibly that it is a referral link and that they may receive a benefit (extra limits in AstroSensus) for a successful referral.
- No spam. The Participant sends e-mails, text messages and private messages with the link in their own name and only to people who have agreed to receive them beforehand (art. 398 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law).
- Next to the sharing buttons on the Programme page we remind the Participant of points 3 and 4 and give a ready disclosure text to copy.
4. Referred person
- An invitation from a link counts only once the person who opened the link clicks "Accept the invitation" on the invitation page. Merely opening the link keeps the invitation only for the current browser session and creates no referral.
- A referred person is someone who did not have an AstroSensus account before and who:
- created an account within 30 days of clicking "Accept the invitation" — in the same browser, or through a sign-up link from an e-mail requested in that browser; or
- entered the Participant's code in their account within 7 days of creating it and before their first purchase.
- The first accepted referral source is final and cannot be changed later. Once an invitation from a link has been accepted, opening or accepting another link or entering a code changes nothing; an account assigned to a code is not changed by a later link. Only one referral can ever be assigned to an account — even if it was refused (point 5). An accepted invitation remains valid for 30 days from the click, even if the Participant stops meeting the conditions of section 2 or creates a new link in the meantime.
- The referred person receives a longer trial — 28 days from its start instead of the standard length (as long as a trial is offered to new accounts at that time; when a code is entered during a trial, the running trial is extended), without giving card details. The trial does not turn into a paid subscription automatically.
- The following are not referred persons: the Participant themselves (also under another address of the same mailbox), people with a disposable e-mail address, addresses that already had an account in the service, and accounts created from an administrator's invitation or a household invitation.
5. When a referral counts
A referral counts when all of the following are met:
- the referred person bought a subscription to the Start, Plus, Family or Premium plan within 90 days of creating the account and their first payment (an amount above zero) went through;
- 14 days have passed since that first payment — a referral can count from the moment "date of the first payment + 14 days" (we check automatically every hour, so it usually counts within an hour of that moment, or later after a manual review);
- at that moment the subscription still gives access to one of these plans — also when the referred person has turned off automatic renewal and the paid period is still running. If the subscription no longer gives access, the referral does not count. If the person has moved to a plan outside the Programme, the referral waits until they come back, for no longer than 180 days from creating the account;
- there was no refund, payment dispute (chargeback) or withdrawal from the contract;
- the abuse check (section 8) found nothing irregular — where in doubt, an administrator reviews the referral.
6. Reward
-
For every referral that counts, the Participant receives a reward — extra limits in their plan, valid for 60 days from when it is granted:
- 1 extra reading in one of these features: a relationship reading, an Intention Travel or place-check reading, a tarot spread;
- 30 extra AstroChat messages.
-
The system, not the Participant, chooses the feature in which the extra reading is used: it is the feature whose monthly plan limit the Participant uses up first. The extra reading works only in a feature included in the account's plan at the time of use (on the Start and Plus plans, which do not include relationship or Intention Travel readings, this is in practice a tarot spread).
-
Extra limits are used only after the plan's monthly limit has been used up, starting with the reward that expires first. The counter next to each feature shows them separately.
-
Several rewards. Rewards add up: each has its own 60-day term counted from when it is granted; a new reward does not extend an earlier one. The unused part of a reward expires at the end of its term and does not carry over to other rewards.
-
Change of plan and end of the subscription. A reward keeps its term whatever happens to the plan. It works in the features included in the account's plan at the time of use — also the free plan, where that feature has a limit (today: AstroChat and tarot spreads). When the subscription ends, the reward is not refunded, exchanged or extended; if a plan is bought again, its unused part keeps working until its original date. A reward for a referral that counts after the Participant's subscription has ended is granted on the same terms.
-
Reward limits. A Participant can receive at most:
- 3 rewards in one limits month — the calendar month in the account's time zone in which the plan's monthly limits renew;
- 12 rewards in any period of 12 months — counted back from the moment the next reward is granted.
Every reward granted counts towards these limits, also expired rewards and revoked rewards (section 8, point 2) of which anything was used; only a revoked reward of which nothing was used does not count. Referrals above the limit count, but without a reward (they do not carry over to the next month). The Participant sees the state of the limits on the Programme page before sharing the link.
-
A reward is not money, a discount or a credit: it cannot be exchanged for cash, refunded on cancelling the plan or transferred to another account. It does not change the price of the plan.
-
The Participant is told about a reward in the app and by a short e-mail.
7. Privacy
- The Participant sees only numbers and statuses (how many people joined, how many bought a plan, how many referrals counted) — never the name, e-mail address or other data of a referred person. We do not show data that identifies the referred person, but the Participant may sometimes be able to guess whom a status concerns (for example, if they sent the link to only one person).
- The referred person is told this on the invitation page and when signing up. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
8. Abuse
- It is forbidden to: refer oneself or fictitious accounts, send unsolicited messages (spam), publish the link without the disclosure required by section 3, point 3, publish the link on coupon and discount sites, advertise using the AstroSensus brand, or mislead anyone about the Programme.
- AstroSensus may check abuse signals (among others, whether the network and device match the Participant's accounts — as pseudonymised data, without storing IP addresses in the Programme) and send a referral for manual review or refuse it. If the referred person's payment is refunded or disputed, or they withdraw from the contract, within 90 days of the referral counting, the referral is reversed and the unused part of the reward is revoked (the part already used stays used).
- In the case of repeated breaches, AstroSensus may exclude the Participant from the Programme. This does not affect their paid subscription.
9. Changes and end of the Programme
- AstroSensus may change these rules only for important reasons: (a) changes in the law, or court rulings or decisions of authorities that concern the Programme; (b) the need to ensure security or to prevent fraud; (c) technical or organisational changes to the Programme or the service (for example changes to the plans or to the features the extra limits apply to); (d) preventing abuse of the Programme.
- We announce a change to or the end of the Programme in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect.
- Rewards granted before a change or the end of the Programme stay valid until their date. Referrals started before a change (the referred person created an account or entered a code) are settled under the rules in force on the day the referred person signed up.
- A Participant who does not accept a change can stop sharing the link; this does not affect their subscription.
10. Complaints
Complaints about the Programme can be made like any other complaint — see Contact & Complaints.
