Mercury begins retrograde
Exact at
Mercury changes direction to retrograde in geocentric motion.
What it means
Mercury retrograde means that, from Earth’s perspective, the planet appears to move backward. Astrology traditionally associates Mercury with communication, thinking, learning, travel, and the exchange of information. This period is often used to check messages, revise arrangements, and return to matters already begun, rather than making hasty decisions. On the dates provided, the phenomenon lasts approximately two days.
Venus joins the Sun during its retrograde phase — a symbolic reset point in the cycle of relationships, values, and what you truly value.
What it means
The Venus Star Point is the moment when Venus, from an astrological perspective, is very close to the Sun; in this case, this happens during its apparent backward motion, that is, retrograde motion. Traditionally, astrology associates Venus with relationships, feelings, values, money, and pleasure. You can treat this time as an opportunity to look at past relationships, earlier decisions, and what is truly important to you, focusing more on returning and reflecting than on rushing to start something new. The event lasts approximately two days, from October 23 to 25, 2026.
