  • Beginning of autumn — Libra monthThe Sun enters Libra. This is the astronomical beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. The zodiac month lasts until the Sun enters the sign again.
  • Orionid MaximumThe annual Orionid meteor shower reaches its maximum in the second half of October, with the event listed from October 19 to 23, 2026, and the maximum scheduled for October 21 at 12:00 UTC. This entry comes from a meteor-shower catalog, not a planetary cycle.

In the coming days

Six days from the selected date — like an upcoming-events list, not just "today".

  • Orionid MaximumThe Orionids are an autumn trail of Comet Halley—the same dust that produces the Eta Aquariids in spring.
  • Zodiac month: ScorpioWe count the calendar “zodiac month” from the heliacal entry of the Sun into the sign, not from the date of the Sun’s birthday in the horoscope.
  • Mercury begins retrogradeA station is a change in the geocentric speed of ecliptic longitude, not a physical halt of the planet in the Solar System.
  • Venus Morning/Evening Star — Venus Star PointThis moment occurs at Venus’s inferior conjunction with the Sun, in the middle of its retrograde — it repeats approximately once every eight years at the same point in the zodiac.
  • Venus enters the sign: LibraA planet entering a new sign is a change in the background, not a promise of a specific event.
  • Full Moon in TaurusA Full Moon is the opposition of the Moon and the Sun — at that time, the Moon is almost entirely illuminated.
