New Moon in Libra
Saturday, 10 October 2026 · exactly at 16:00 · UTC
The New Moon opens a new lunar cycle — a time to name an intention before acting on it.
New Moon in Libra occurs on October 10, 2026, at 16:00 UTC. The Moon meets the Sun in the tropical sign of Libra.
A New Moon is the moment when, from Earth’s perspective, the Moon and the Sun are located in the same place in the zodiac, which is why the Moon is barely visible in the night sky. In astrology, a New Moon in Libra is traditionally associated with relationships, cooperation, balance, the way conversations are conducted, and the search for fair solutions. You may treat this time as an opportunity to notice how you create understanding with others and where more harmony could be useful. The event covers approximately two days, from October 9 to 11, 2026.
